Marc- 2xBIS, RBIS UKC GRCH, ISWS CH. Attaway- Kinobi Marcusite, R01

Marc is a tricolor male who stands at 21.5 inches tall and 38 lbs. He is double clear for CEA and MDR1. He was born 9/14/14. His pedigree can be found at the link below : http://www.silkenwindhounds.org/cgi-bin/peds/geneal.cgi?op=tree&index=1907&gens=3&db=silken.dbw

Marc has a dream temperament, he has never met a stranger. He is afraid of nothing, and is outgoing and bombproof. He is easily trained, and easy to live with. He is beautifully built, with excellent bone and a beautiful head and eye. A moderate rise over the last rib, well laid back shoulder, moderate croup angle, with smooth neck transition make for a very pleasing curvy topline. He has the cleanest movement, no toeing in or out, hackney motion or other movement faults common in the breed. He stamps this clean movement and good temperament on his puppies, which makes him an incredible asset to the breed.

He will do much of what is asked of him, but so far shows only minor interest in lure coursing and racing. He has completed one NOTRA race, but we haven't been successfull at getting him to run again. Luckily his kids are showing lots of lure aptitude, one close to her LGRA championship at just 14 months. Many others are tearing up the track at practices prior to turning a year old.

We purchased Marc from his breeders in 2017, and at that time had sired 2 litters and been to a handful of shows. We saw him at the 2017 National Specialty and were wowed by his clean, easy movement and beautiful classic outline. Melissa Pearce, his breeder, was gracious enough to allow us to purchase him when we inquired about using him at stud. Once he arrived at Spirit, we began training for obedience and the show ring. He earned his UKC Championship and Grand Championship with a few months, along with his first UKC Reserve Best in Show. He earned 2 legs on his Rally obedience title after a quick 6 week class in Spring 2018. He also earned his first and second UKC Best in Show in 2018 in very limited showing.

His biggest wins so far were earned at the 2018 Silken National Speciality. We started with Rally and he earned first place, a Q, and his new title!! Then we went on to the specialty show, where he was entered as an open dog. He showed the best he has ever shown, once we discovered he likes to show on a loose lead  down around his shoulders (yes he is that well trained). He easily won a large competitive class and went on to earn Winners Dog in the largest entry of males in the history of the breed. Then in Best of Breed, he won Best of Opposite Sex to the Breed. We were over the moon, although many told us that Marc demanded the win! This win also earned him his ISWS Championship. In the Stud dog class, he and his offspring earned 3rd place. And then in the Brace class with his daughter Whiskey, they earned 2nd place. Good weekend to say the least!

Marc is available at stud to approved bitches with comparable health testing to him, as well a compatible pedigree and type. Breeders should also have a similar approach to breeding and puppy placement as we do. Please inquire for his breeding fee. Available by natural breeding, fresh chilled, and frozen. We are experienced in stud management, at collecting and shipping, or it can be done at the local repro vet per your preference. Marc has 7 litters on the ground, no lotus puppies, most small or well in size, he appears to be a size reducer because no matter what size bitch he is bred to, the pups are small or in size. If you want puppies with outgoing, happy temperaments he is your guy. His almost lab-like happy and outgoing nature is his greatest feature.   A few of his pups are already grand champions, certified for racing/coursing, and one working service dog. Produces black and tan, tricolor, brindle, spotted/particolor, sable, and solid black, cream, red, silver. Message me on facebook or call 952 855-3609 for more info.
